Has anyone had a really bad orientation experience with a retail clinic???

I keep wondering what this orientation thing is that people speake of? :D

Well - Jules; I'm one of the dumber APNs - my docs gave me 4 months but it took that long to get credentialed anyway...lol

Lol, nothing to do with smarts I'm sure. :) Specialty is a whole nother story and if I recall you started in nephrology. The nephrologists I know are amont the smartest physicians.

I think your comment was tongue-in-cheek, but I'm honestly wondering lol. When I hear "orientation" I think "orient me to the surroundings, the policies, how things work, the code to the supply closet, etc."

What other expectations are there for a retail clinic?

Only sort of kidding because I actually never had one. I started with a full patient load and have only worked at one hospital where I got a formal EMR class. This was in psych a specialty where I had worked for years as a RN and my NP training was done by psychiatrists so it was challenging but manageable.
