Usually, if you are pool, does your employer need to ask you if you are available for a shift before they sign you up for it or is it the employee's responsibility to find out what days he/she is working?
I just need to clarify this. From my understanding, I thought pool jobs are very good as the employees get to choose their own hours, but my job is confusing me as they just signed me up for a shift and didn't let me know, so I ended up not showing up for that day.
