Hi there!
I have an interview for a Nurse Case Management job at an insurance company this coming week. I've worked 6 years as a floor nurse and I'm ready for something new. I would like to know more about it-likes/dislikes and what a typical day is like. Thanks so much!

I obtained my first case management position approximately six months ago. I work for a major insurance company.
Will you be working in office or from home? Is the job opening for utilization review, prior authorizations, or a particular department?
I work from home, but do a decent amount of local travel to healthcare facilities that are located 20 to 30 miles away from my residence. Overall, I enjoy the flexibility and work/life balance, but dislike the subtle politics of the job.
It's in an insurance office and it's for utilization review/quality. I think I will enjoy this but might miss seeing the patients. Maybe down the road I can find a job like this to do home visits? Thank you :)

Hello, i am wondering how is your daily routine. i applied for rn care manager position in Humana and job description sound like a case manager, but i am not sure and if i were doing that job it will be at home. I have been on the floor so this will be my first desk job!

Hey sunkiss285, how did your interview go? I have been an ER nurse for 6 years and just accepted a case management position. I am curious as to how it will be too. I am staying PRN in the ER so I can still get in some bedside time.
