Hi! The application period is in a few days and I wanted to start a thread to support each other since I couldn’t find one. I am applying for the Spring term; I have 113.7 points. I am hoping that I get accepted.

I thought the application wasn't suppose to go in until the start of October. I figured I had a couple of weeks before I took it and submitted my application + TEAS score to polk.

Completely disregard that last comment! I guess I got confused between my dates from this school and another school! (I am taking the TEAS this Friday the 11th! I'll let you guys know how it goes)

Hi, Guys! my name is Amanda and I am also applying for Polk state. My GPA is just a 3.0 and I am studying for my TEAS! (My last score was a 68% so Im hoping to at least get up into the 80% percentile!) Any tips?? 

Also! I emailed ------------------- and she said that the lowest score who got accepted into last fall was a 110! But she also mentioned how that isn't a good indicator since scores are constantly fluctuating. She also mentioned that Spring is easier to get accepted into. 

Sometimes I'm doubting my abilities due to my low GPA and entrance exam score! kind of stressed!

The application period closes I think the 15th of this month. You would have to have taken the TEAS by then. I recommend science with susana on Youtube, the Memotrix book, and the practice tests from the ITEAS website.

I appreciate the help! 

Would you also happen to know how you can calculate your pre req GPA? I understand that you factor in the required classes such as English comp 101, A&P1, Etc. 

However, what if you also took the recommended classes? such as A&P2, Humanities, etc. Do I factor in those grades aswell to figure out my GPA?

If you look in passport under degree audit it shows both GPA at the bottom. You calculate each by 5, add them, and add your TEAS score.

So I just took my TEAS today! I got an 80! So that brings my score up to a 110.7. I know it's not the most competitive score, but it's an improvement from the previous score! I'll be applying once my scores hit my transcripts!

That is such a huge accomplishment! I know you'll get in with a score like that! I'm taking my exam on Friday at 8am! I'm hoping to get an 80% too that way I can have the same score as you! 

However, if I don't get that score I hope you kick *** in the program for both of us! ?

Getting closer guys! Did anyone get in contact with anyone about how many applications there have been compared to previous semesters? I'm curious...

I'm working on my application now, theres no documents we have to submit with it correct? We just answer the questions and submit it?
