Hey everyone! The application window for PSC starts on the 2nd, so I figured I'd start a thread to discuss :) Anyone else on here applying?

Hey guys! I also applied for the program! I was just wondering if anyone could answer this for me. Do you know if they use the "program gpa" on the transcript as our pre req gpa or if they just add up & divide and come up with the prereq gpa from the prereqs we took to get in? thanks! Good luck to everyone! Can't wait for the letters! :)

j_andrews, if you sign on to your Passport account it is calculated for you on your interactive degree audit. I think it's at the bottom.

J_andrews when I turned my application in I asked that same question and the advisor said that your pre requisite gpa will be the sum of only the four classes and that it would be different from what is on passport.

Thanks for answering everyone! This is really frustrating hearing something different from every person/advisor I speak with! :/ But fingers crossed that everyone gets in :)

That's weird... That's how the advisor calculated mine. She printed my degree audit and used those numbers. Maybe my points are higher?!

Hey everyone! The five choices for clinical are Lakeland Regional, Winter Haven, Bartow, Heart of Florida, and Lake Wales. I'm in nursing 4 now, but whenever I went to orientation for 1, we just filled out a yellow card with our clinical choice and time, so I don't know about the number thing. Any more questions let me know! :)

Hello everyone, so glad i found this post. I think i am a lot older than most applying for spring 2015. My grades arent as good as most i see, 2.9 gpa and 72 on teas5. So ill have to keep my fingers crossed that i will be able to meet everyone and get to experience nursing at polk with all of you. I have already completed most of the BSN prereqs as well, has anyone else gone down this road? i already work at LRMC, and know they are requiring a BSN in future hires..i too am checking mail couple times a day.. eagerly waiting ...good luck everyone..Alan.

Hello everyone. My name is Roxie. I have applied as well and I am so eager to hear whether or not I got in. I just checked the mail and still no letter, hopefully it will come tomorrow. I'm very worried about my chances since this program is so competitive. I'm sure it will all work out for all of us. :)
