Hey everyone! The application window for PSC starts on the 2nd, so I figured I'd start a thread to discuss :) Anyone else on here applying?
mfegxo - It will probably be different for the new spring class because they took out Intro and it's a whole new curriculum but when I was in Nursing 1 it was Adult health one on Tuesdays from 8-4 and either Wednesday or Thursday (your choice) from 1-4. Whatever day you chose for Pharmacology is the day you will go 1-4 for AH1. (I went Wednesdays 8-12 for pharm & 1-4 for AH1) Then you had a set number of lab hours you had to get within a certain time frame, you can choose when you want to do them. & then you also have clinical one day a week. (Mine was Monday - and I had days so I went from 6:30-3:00)
Working - I did not work but there were quite a few who did. I would just try it if I were you and see how it goes. Some people can do it without having any trouble and some need more time to study. Adult health 2 is similar to 1 but 3 is a vacation and you'd be able to work full time without a problem :) Now in nursing 4 - there is no way I would work but there are still some that do. It is VERRRRRY time consuming.
This semester AH1 is on Tuesdays 8-4 and Pharm is either Thursday from 8-12 or 9-1 with AH1 Lab in the alternate time. My clinical is Monday from 6:30 to 3. 10 hours a week in the nursing lab with one week at 12 hours. But this will change I would guess with the dropping of the Intro to Nursing class and merging it into AH1 in the Spring 2015 semester. I heard pretty fast on the acceptance into the program as you have a lot of bacckground checks and vaccine titers etc. to get done. Good luck to all! and to Flo Grown...Congrats!!! on this accomplishment, as a Nursing 1 student we may be volunteering to help with the pinning ceremony for you guys. Have a great, albeit busy 4th semester!
Hi guys! Just stumbled upon this feed. I am also applying for the spring term. I sent my application in on the second this month. I have a 3.6 cum GPA, 84% on TEAS-V, and I also have my AA. I am transferring from the University of South Florida.
So excited to get to know you guys! :)
Best of luckkkkk!
Thank you!
I read the entire thread! Lol You all should have no problem getting into the program! I also went to talk to Dr. Hutcherson back in the summer. She told me that an 80 on the TEAS-V secured a spot. I know you all will get acceptances! I really can't wait to meet you all, and maybe form some study groups once the semester gets rolling! :)
