They say nursing needs team work. But there are times that our area is sooo busy but we need to help more than 1 person at one time. For example, you need to choose your friend than the person which you find irritating? Let us say, u r irritated because her working attitude is bad that she dont help u or other people if needed to, or just find that u dont simply dont like her personality even u if u tried.

I would appreciate all of your opinion on this... thanks:yeah:

If it's concerning helping with patient care, consider which patient need is more critical, such as if one patient is developing severe respiratory difficulties, the other wants help getting back to bed... If I don't particularly care for a nurse, but her patient is going down the tubes, I would pitch in anyway, because we are, after all, there for the patients. JMHO

They are all our pts. It shouldn't matter if you get along with a certain nurse or not. It's not about the staff. It's about the pts. If the pt needs help, you just do it. That should be a given.

thanks for the comments...

yeah we render nursing care to the patients and wether we like the other nurse or not, we should do the procedure with them. But how can we communicate we them if they are not in good terms. Just like suctioning or turning the pt. perhaps. U would drag yourself and can create more tension if u can raise your voice unconsciously. Sometimes working with people with attitude problem is more difficult than doing the job well...

Dealing with people that one doesn't care for is difficult, I agree... In speaking with someone that has "attitude", I am very polite and factual, and mannerly... The warmth of friendship might be missing, but the professionalism is there... I try not to be drawn into personal difficulties with someone like that...
