PMHNP UTA admissions

Has the deadline passed yet? I thought it was in July, but I could be wrong. UTA has a great NP program in psych. The director of the program is awesome and very approachable. I didn't apply to the program because I wanted an DNP program. Now I wish I did, the DNP program that I'm starting in the fall will take 4 years. I know waiting for admission is stressful, but you've selected a reputable program. Please check to see the deadline for Fall applications before you start worry. They may wait until all applications are received before they start to review.

Lonestar1908, how long after the deadline closed did you hear back from UTA regarding your acceptance? Were they timely? Did you receive email or MyMav text before you received the letter in the mail?

Hello Buggysmom,

Are you currently in UTA's PMHNP program? I applied for Fall 2015 admission and am anxiously awaiting a response from the school. I've sent emails and called to see when decisions will be sent out. However, I've received no reply. I'm getting concerned... did you hear from them in June? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!

Did you ever get in ? and if so how were you contacted for a decision? I applied to this program and there is absolutely silence on the part of the school. I applied early on in July and have not heard anything back and I am getting nervous. I know this tread is old!

Hi, yes I am in the program. They began sending out acceptance letters to our personal email (for all NP tracks) towards the end of June. This was for Fall admission. I am assuming you applied for Spring, because the Fall semester has already begun.

Hey! Any current UTA PMHNP students available to answer some questions? I'm not getting much feedback when trying to contact UTA.

1. How long from application until you received your acceptance letter?

2. Do you have to take all classes on campus or can you take the ones offered online? Such as the core classes all NP students have to take.

3. Is it a set class schedule or do you get a chance to pick which classes you take each semester?
