PMHNP schools

I am looking for input for online PMHNP programs I can decide. currently looking at Maryville VS Regis

Hello everyone! I just started applying to post- grad PMHNP schools. I have my MSN-ED so I am assuming I will need a few pre-reqs that NPs won’t. I have applied to Maryville, Husson, and Wilkes for Fall 2020 admission and University of Cincinnati and University of South Alabama for Spring 2021 admission. So far I have been accepted to Maryville and Wilkes and waiting to hear back from the others. Does anyone have any advice on which program is best? I would like to start sooner rather than later, but will start in the Spring if the program is worth it. I would like to keep cost down as I’ll be paying out of pocket. It has been difficult for me to find quality reviews online. Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone,

I am trying to decide on which online PHMNP program to go to. I am trying to decide btwn Maryville University, Walden University and Regis College for Spring 2021 start date.

Please can anyone who have attended any of these programs let me know what they think of them? I will really appreciate. I stay in California, work full-time and have a family, this is the reason I decided to attend a 100%online program.

Did you decide which school? If so, how's it going?

I was looking at those schools but did not attend them I chose Frontier Nursing as their pass rate first time is higher than national average of 80%. Frontiers is 98%. I would suggest that you compare cost, and pass rates of all before committing. I can say that I was headed to Maryville initaly but the paperwork kept getting misplaced and after being asked the 3rd time to redo I said I was not interested. Good luck in your search.

Wow, I'm actually in the same predicament right now trying to decide between Regis and Maryville for the PMHNP this fall. I've actually been accepted into the Regis program already but after reconsidering the cost and reading some negative reviews about professors, I'm now considering Maryville. I got the feeling Regis was making you pay more for the name and "frills" than the actual degree so I'm leaning towards Maryville. Wish me luck everyone and  the best of luck to you all on this journey.

I just finished Maryville’s online PMHNP program and getting ready to take boards. It was challenging at times to work FT, take care of a family and complete, but it can be done. It felt overwhelming at times but I learned a lot of information and was able to retain it. The cost was acceptable too.

Congratulations to you on completing the program! I'm considering starting at Maryville this fall myself. How were the professors and the workload? Did you feel well prepared for the boards? I appreciate your response.
