Congrats!!!! Thanks for the info! I keep hearing it is very difficult and that there are things on there people have never even heard of. Does that sound accurate? Not trying to ask for details but is it more clinical or more scientific in background? I’m soooo nervous without knowing how to study.

@katp, Thank you! Definitely follow the new exam outline on the ancc website. The 25% domains are legit most of the exam. Some of my fellow peers that took the new one said it was easy, but I thought it was rather difficult. Seriously know DD interactions r/t CYP450, and clinical decision making. Good luck to you!!
here’s some great YouTube videos that really explained CYP450 and it’s substrates well:
Anything helps. Will do! Thanks again and good luck on your new endeavor ?

Hey there. Just took it last month and passed. I really found the ancc book useful but more than anything Examedge.com really helped. These questions were really similar to the exam questions so you’ll feel more prepared. I went on Youtube and watched countless videos on meds, neurotransmitters etc to really help me understand the brain- the more u get it the easier it is to make any smart guesses. I used pocket prep as well. Be very familiar with drug/drug interactions and medical emergencies. You got this!

This isn't the right one for the PMHNP exam. The link you posted is for the RN-level psychiatric nursing certification, not for NP.
This is the one for PMHNP:

Hi
Im planning to take my ancc psych NP Boards in a few days and I’m a nervous wreck right now. For the past 2-3 wks, I used the Fitzgerald online and read the ancc review book. I have to admit, I scanned through these resources. I scored a 75 on the Fitzgerald exam. I scored a 60 on the Ancc review book. I received 54 and 56 on ancc online questions. I bought the ancc IQ test and have been getting 70s. However, most of the questions were repeated so not sure if I memorized or I just understand the rationale now. I also use pocket prep and have been getting scores anywhere between 50s to 70s. My plan is to cont. the ancc IQ and finish rest of pocket prep. After I finish a practice exam, I’m constantly seeing the “you failed” message and I’m so nervous that I’m not ready. The exam is scheduled in a couple of days and I’m very nervous with these scores. Any advice? Anything will be helpful ?

Hello @Ara2323. Im not sure if you had already taken the boards. But if you still feel unprepared and unsure, I would suggest rescheduling the exam. From my understanding is that you can reschedule your test for no fee if you do it up to 2 days before your scheduled exam.
As for the scores you mentioned above, are they the scores you are getting even after taking them multiple times? If so, I would suggest constantly practicing/reviewing the tests till you are at a comfortable level like in the high 80-90’s.
Anyway good luck to you and hoping you the best!

Has anyone had issues getting the link to open when purchasing the ANCC practice IQ ?
I’ve been trying for hours, even called Apple support and they said it was the site itself. Any help is much appreciated. TIA
Hi all
Just wanted to let everyone know I passed. I’m very happy and can’t believe it’s over. I found it somewhat difficult but it could have been my anxiety. I used the ancc IQ and the pocket prep. For the ancc IQ, I initially scoring in the 50-60s but when I retook it, it was in the 90s. I read all the rationales to both resources several times. Good luck to everyone !
