A 4" wide by 6" long photo is enlarged 25%. What is the are of the new photo???

they give the answer but i don understand where they get the 1.25 from...its not suposed to be .25???

1.25= 100% of original photo +25% enlargement

HI!! THAT'S WHAT I GOT 30 BUT THAT'S NOT THE BOOK ANSWER

ON THE BOOK THEY DID THIS

4*1.25= 5

6*1.25=7.5

5*7.5= 37.5

OK SO THAT'S HOW THEY GOT 1.25...100% + 25% UMMMMM :uhoh3:

4*.25 =1

6*.25 = 1.5

SO 4+1 AND 6+1.5

5*7.5= 37.5
