First, you're the one giving out poor advice to someone who is already struggling. Secondly, you are misinformed when it comes to college professors. College professors have never been very lenient specifically nursing professors. OC said he was a student. He even has a degree. So whether or not he's a student, does not matter. No one is giving you advice anyways. Ya know, you start to lose credibility when you make rude comments.
I had different experience, yeah there were some college professors who didnt give a damn, but there were also professors who were very supportive and encouraging.Ok he might be a student but I dont want to hear his rumbling about the difficulty of nursing school if he is not even there yet, because how possibly would he know what we nursing student have to faceplainly he wouldnt be just credible.
Going to college is optional. If the OP wants to be a nurse there is a great chance she will attend her classess, met people who also want to be nurses, sink in the envinronment and take it from there.
Maybe that is why you dont value the principles of family and criticize me for old good wisdom of the world.
I didn't think it possible, but you're actually managing to sound more and more ignorant with every post......
To Michigan_RN:
I'm sorry, what you said actually is very good advice, but I couldn't resist with a statement like that.:chuckle I'm sure she was a firm believer in Sarah Palin's "Real America", as well...

Wow. Where did you get the idea that gay people don't value the principles of family? Just because they are gay? And what in the heck is 'old good wisdom of the world'? History is full of great people who did not procreate.
While OC85 may sound (?) harsh, he has made some valuable points. Failing to finish HS even with much effort is a red flag, the OP needs help (therapy maybe, if he/she has a learning disability). How do you expect someone who can't make it through HS to even pass the prereques needed for nursing school? How much support can the college staff offer in order to not make such a person a social cripple? In the real world no one is going to show that much support, nursing is a field that has little area for mistakes.
To the OP - GET HELP! Struggle as much as you can now, it will make life much easier for you. Good luck! :)

:chuckle Oh, you haven't offended me in the slightest. My delivery would need work, if I didn't enjoy making provocative statements [particularly when certain people spew out absurd, misinformed opinions]. I do apologize, however, to any of you who have made rational, well thought out contributions to this thread. While it was not my intention to direct any harshness toward these people, I'm sorry if any of them took it that way.
