Hi! Doing some research for a family member. Wanted to check in with anyone else that is applying to the program or has in the past.

Hi there! I'm applying for Spring 2022 admission! Would love to connect to others going through the same journey.

Hello! Just sent out my application last week. Squeaked by that priority deadline! Woo! Now begins the dreaded wait. Haha glad to find this forum tho! I’m local to the PLU area as well.. just FYI if that’s helpful to anyone.
@Zackattack Yay! Good luck to us! I submitted my application 2 days ago. Judging by last year, we should hear back in February.
Do you mind sharing your stats?
Woo! Good luck to us! So in the information session I sat through, they said they weren't receiving many applications so far this cycle. But I'm holding out for Feb. (looks like we read the same forum :P). So happy someone started one for this year!
Yeah, no problem.
How 'bout you? Are you applying to any other programs?
I'm originally from Russia, living in LA right now. Got my bachelors back in Russia, GPA 3.2. Prereq GPA 4.0. Volunteered at a local hospital for 3 years (bedside care, ER). Work at a non-profit providing social services to people in need.
Dang! Well I hope you and I both get in.. sounds like we're pretty good picks if you ask me ?

Awesome to see some other people on here already! I applied back in October, it’s interesting to hear they haven’t received that many applications. From looking at the previous AllNurses page it seems like they had a ton. Zackattack awesome to see some Army representation! I just got off 10 years active and started the reserves.
I’m coming in with cGPA 3.5 and prereq GPA 4.0. I was Civil Affairs Officer the last 5 years and have a decent amount of medical experience from work in Eastern Europe. Other than that I don’t have a lot of CNA or other nursing related experience. Anastasia that is cool you’re from Russia! I learned it for work but am pretty rusty now LOL.
Right on! @Kai1819 gotta hold down the fort haha I was an EOD SFC myself. Glad to have ya on the forum. Hopefully we can keep everyone company and from bouncing off the walls in anticipation with this thing.
The information session I sat in was later in November too. So, it didn’t sound like they had as many folks apply before the deadline, as in previous years.

Hi all, glad to see there is a thread going! I just barely squeaked by the priority deadline. Submitted my application on Dec. 1!
My cGPA is just over a 3.0 (my undergrad GPA is not doing me any favors there unfortunately). This is a complete career change for me so I started taking my nursing/science pre-reqs at the beginning of this year at Highline College. I actually still have a 2 more classes to go, but sitting at a 4.0 on those pre-reqs right now.
@Kai1819 and @Zackattack I was also Army. I was a logistics officer up at Fort Wainwright, AK, got out in 2015.
I am also local. Just a bit north in the Federal Way/Auburn area.
@Anastasia Shostak are you planning to move to the Seattle area regardless if you get into PLU?
Good luck to everyone and looking forward to keeping in touch! Hopefully they don't keep us waiting too long!
Hey @Rjmetzker! We're three strong now haha Undergrad has been a rough go for me as well. I'm still finishing up a few classes for my Bachelors; however, I completely changed as a student once I figured out what the heck I wanted to be. C'est la vie. Either way, I'm tickled pink just being able to apply to a grad program. Never thought I'd be at this point.
Wainwright.. brrrrr.. I've heard it's beautiful up there though. I left out of JBLM in 2018 and am down in Olympia. Good luck to you boss!

Hi All I have a few questions.
how are you planning on paying tuition at PLU, I heard it about 40,000 a year.
