2014 PLU applicants?

Published

Anyone applying to PLU this year? I'm also applying to UW in Seattle, will be my 1st time applying to PLU, anyone have any tips or advice? Not sure how the application process for them works.

They said at the info session that people do apply after the deadline and get accepted. Did you end up getting yours in?

No I didn't, was waiting on a transcript to get here :/ so going to get it in Monday

When I went to the info session it sounded like it happens every year and some people do get in...you might as well try! You could also send it in now and send your transcript in Monday. I submitted mine in pieces. Just a thought :)

It doesn't all have to be in one package? I will do that then, thanks!

I think you're talking about the BSN - I don't know much about the BSN but I applied after the priority deadline for ELMSN & got in! I also sent my application in separate parts :)

Yes, I'm talking about the BSN. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Lolo206 congrats on the acceptance!! Have you already paid the deposit? I wish we would know about SU by now, which program are you leaning towards?

Would everyone who has been accepted mind sharing their stats?

I'm answering my essay questions, and it asks how your values concur to the mission of PLU school of nursing. I looked at the school catalog and it states The School of Nursing at PLU integrates the liberal arts and professional education, and is committed to three areas of responsibility for nursing education: (1) the preparation of baccalaureate nurse generalists for the roles of provider of direct and indirect care, designer, manager and coordinator of that care, and a member of a profession; (2) graduate preparation of professional nurses for the roles of advanced practitioner, advanced generalist, leader, scholar and as a foundation for doctoral studies; and (3) professional development of nurses through continuing educational opportunities. Is this what everyone else compared their values to? Seems kind of hard to comapre them to, just wanted to make sure I was writing the correct essays! Any help is greatly appreciated. It seems like the school of nursing philosphy would be what they want compared to my own values, but I'm probably wrong on that lol. ;)

Drenz- yes I paid the deposit. Both schools have qualities that I really like so its a tough choice. How do we private message people on here

Lolo206- click on the person's name you want to private message (you have to be signed in) and then you should be directed to their profile. Click the green box in the upper left that says "Send PM" (PM for private message) :)

Do you mind if I ask what your stats were?
