Pls can anyone give my any information on LTC facilities hiring new nurse grads in maryland/dc? Thanks.

Like the poster above me mentioned, try Genesis Healthcare Long Term Care Services, Transitional Care, Rehab | Genesis They hired new LPN/RN grads and they have descent benefits.

Where exactly are you located? Are you in the baltimore area or in the DMV area? I know that most LTC in the DMV area are hiring new grads. Most of it, you have to go to the facility and applied within.

Thanks for your replies. I am currently in the DMV area. I applied to Genesis healthcare online and I also spoke to one of the recruiters, she said they aren't hiring any new grads for now because their preceptors are few.I also applied to a few nursing homes(manor care, hebrew home, clinton rehab) but am yet to get any interview.

Do you want to work in a LTC or you want something for now till RN fellowship comes up? Holy Cross and Sinai in Bmore have new grad applications up for now.

I know someone who works in Clinton Rehab I'll ask her, if she can ask administration if they are looking to hire new RN grads.

Medicare.gov - Nursing Home Compare if you go here and put in your zip code and you can find more nursing homes in that area and beyond. It also has ratings of the facilities.

The key with LTC is you have to call and check on your statuses. Sometimes re-apply.
