Pls Help me about this matter. NCLEX problem

i registered to pearsonvue.com/nclex before i submit my documents(application form, fingerprint, breakdown and transcript......etc).... i was july.... the CA BON recieved my Application Sept6..... my sister in US followed up my application and they said (CA BON representative i guess}that they probably issued my ATT this February. the question is, if my pearson is valid and how to schedule a test.. i cand find any link to schedule or i should wait my ATT to schedule a test...
i dont have ATT yet, and i trying to schedule a test.....
i went to pearsonvue.com/nclex...
there was a link "Schedule a Test"
i logged in....
but it went to "Current Activity" page that appeared tbles of
Future Appointments and Current Registrations
should i wait fro my ATT to find missing links to sched a test? or it will appear the same as i dont hav ATT...
pls. neeed your attention on this..

Welcome to the site

Pearsonvue will not send you your ATT until they get the go head from Ca BON. To schedule your test you have to phone pearsonvue as you have to pay extra due to taking it abroad so will need credit card details handy. Better to wait for ATT before scheduling exam so need to follow up with Ca BON but average waiting time is 4-6 months

For any others that are reading this thread:

Do not submit anything to Pearson-Vue until you have received approval from the BON that you are wishing to test for. Pearson-Vue is unable to issue the ATT without approval from the state first. And the payment to them is only valid for one year, if for some reason that you do not get approval in that time, then you forfeit your money.

And since most states have just a three months validity of the ATT, do not submit payment until you are sure that you are prepared to test.

BTW i appreciate the quick response from you guys.

as i recieved the NCLEX Registration Acknowledgment from registering the perarsonvue.com/nclex.... the following paragraphs were in the email.

In addition to submitting your NCLEX Examination registration

materials, you must also have applied for licensure to a board of nursing. Once

that board makes you eligible to take the examination, your

Authorization To Test (ATT) will be issued.

note: i registered 25th of July, 2007 and recieved the NCLEX Registration Acknowledgment via email

date of documents/application recieved by CABON; Sept6,2007 (based on FedEx tracking system)

Registration Time Limit

Your NCLEX examination registration will remain open for a 365-day time

period during which a board of nursing may determine your eligibility.

receive your Authorization to Test (ATT). You must then test within the

validity dates printed on the ATT.

Once you are made eligible, the 365-day time period for the

registration eligibility ends and you must take your examination during the time

period stated on your ATT.

If the board of nursing is unable to make you eligible within the

365-day time period, you must wait until your current registration expires

before re-registering. A candidate may not have two NCLEX examination

registrations (of the same type) open at the same time. If you

re-register before your current registration expires, your second registration

will be processed and denied, and the fee collected is non-refundable.

since i registered already in pearson, once i eligible and recieved my ATT from CA BON this february (5th month of long waiting), my registration in pearson is still valid until it expires July 25 2008? I learned that CA ATT is valid for 365 days.... so i wouldn't know if i try to schedule now but the available sched is for example, august 2008, is my pearson is still valid as it expires on july?

OOOpssss i read other thread... now i know... its the CA informs the pearson that im eligible...... and since i already registered and paid in pearsonvue.com they can now send me ATT the soonest time... then get ready to sched in thier site.....

correct me if im wrong.........

Yes, Ca informs pearsonvue and they will release ATT and then you can book your date

Would focus on getting your exam done before the year is up that you submitted payment to Pearson-Vue.

This is why we always tell everyone to wait before sending in payment to them.
