Please don't stress about the NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

I just took my NCLEX exam this week after graduating from a community college in early May. I, like many of you was totally freaked out about it and I must say, coming on this website and reading some of the posts made it worse rather than help to decrease my anxieties. I would like to tell you that there is no need to stress out about this exam. I found that my school prepared me very well for the exam. We all have graduated from an accredited school by the time we take this exam and we all have the knowledge it takes to answer the questions that are being asked of us. We have to remember that they are only looking for minimum compentency and looking back I find that my exams in school, especially in the last two semesters, were much more difficult than the NCLEX was. I am not saying, dont study or practice your questions. You should do that, and if you come across something that you don't understand, read up on it, but please don't stress yourself out. If you have done reasonably well in school and passed your HESI exams or whatever NCLEX predictor resource your school uses, you will do well on the NCLEX. I had quite a few SATAS und med questions and I have always struggled with those, including during the NCLEX, but I still got cut off at 75 and I did not feel terrible walking out of the exam room. I felt uncertain, but I did not feel like I had to guess on the whole exam. You guys will do fine. Have faith in yourself and in the knowledge you possess. You can do this! I promise!

THANK YOU for this post. My test is in 9 days and I have been feeling a bit borderline psychotic!
