Please let me know guys! :(

Hi everyone! I just finished my Question Trainer 1 in kaplan and got 53.33%. Im so stupid!! What do you think guys, i got 58 in my diagnostic test.. Is there anyone of you guys who took kaplan and had low scores and passed the actual exam. Though its okay for me coz I would be able to understand more thru reading its rationale. but then, :"(. Is it okay?!

Please answer me guys. Im taking mine in June. Thanks and God Bless! :(

Haven't taken NCLEX yet, but let me assure you, there is no need to be sad about the score you got. I have read so many posts about people who got 50's and yet passed NCLEX with minimum question.

Also, this is just your first trainer. I had 50% on mine. You got 6 more to go and much more to learn. I am sure you will score better on the second one.

Another suggestion, for the questions that you got wrong, try to figure out why you got them wrong and in addition to reading rationales, revise the topic from the book. It helps. Trust me.

Wow! I was so inspired to your reply. Thanks a lot! Im sure this will really help me then. So you are taking the kaplan ondemand? How was it? Are you using the videos or the book?

yes, i will surely do your advice starting today. Thanks alot. :) when are you going to take yours?

I did the Kaplan Qtest the last week right before I took my exam. I was getting 70-80's. I think it was because I really studied my core content. After all, that's why they say most fail. Good luck.

what do you mean most fail?? are you talking about the kaplan's online course ? :) thanks!

According to the NCSBN the national pass rate for 1st timers is about 91%. For those who fail, they say it's because they didn't know the core content. I was talking about the Q trainers. All 7 of them. Are you missing the questions because you don't know the content?

Ex: The nurse is caring for a muitipara client who delivered a female infant one hour ago. The nurse observes that the client's breast are soft; the uterus is boggy to the right of the midline, and 2cm below the umbilicus; moderate lochia noted. It is MOST important for the nurse to take which of the follwoing actions:

a:Perform a straight cath

b:Offer the client a bed pan

c:Put the baby to breast

d:Massage the uterine fundus

The first thing that should pop out what is wrong with this assesment. Flag boggy and to the right of midline. Then what is the most common reason a uterus is right of the midline: Full bladder. This would mean the nurse should offer a bed pan. (pulled from Qt3)

Core content is Cardio, Renal, Resp, Fluid balance, Acid base stuff. I did do these questions in the beginning but I was also getting low scores. So I stopped and went back to studying Hurst content and I did the NCSBN review. Finished both and then took the Q trainer and I did WAY better. My weak area was content. I took my exam on thurs and got the good pop up. I am speaking most from my own experience. I took the NCLEX in Feb and failed. I knew right away, I didn't know stuff like the back of my hand.
