Please help!! Trouble with live scan fingerprinting

Hello there! I've searched the forum and I can't find a similar thread relating to my problem. Here it goes...

I received a rejection letter from the BON today and they need me to submit a live scan fingerprint again. The reason being: " need to clarify reason fingerprinted". This is just so frustrating! I thought it was going to be the results. I was so disappointed and started to cry :crying2:.

My question is will I receive my results or will I have to wait for the live scan to clear? I've been waiting for 4 weeks now and I just don't want to wait any longer.

Another question is how long will it take for the BON to receive the DOJ and FBI clearance? Is there a way that I can just fax it over instead of mailing it? I'm just so stressed out righ now :banghead: Any answer will help. Thanks a lot!

I thought that the livescan and DOJ/FBI clearance results were sent directly to the Board based on the info you provide when you do the request. Maybe someone else can relate their experience in this matter.

The live scan application clearly states that the second copy of the form must be submitted to the board. I will call the BON to make sure.

I'm taking my NLEX in June. Can someone please clarify for why some people have to wait weeks to get there results whilst others gets it in 1-3 days. Thanks.

I don't have experience with fingerprinting for the BON but I have been printed using livescan for the ins which gets sent to the FBI and my first set got rejected because I had a cut on my finger so that might be it?

I got my results 2 days ago and I passed! The reason why they needed me to do it over is because of poor scanning and I forgot to mark something on my application.

Studentnurse2175,

If you're referring to the NCLEX results, the reason why there are different waiting periods because some states like California do not participate in quick results. Therefore, California test takers have to wait 3-4 weeks for their results. I had to wait 4 weeks and 5 days for my results. Other states do participate in quick results and I believe only have to wait 48 hours.

I hope this answers your question.:wink2:
