Hi My wife is going to study this coming fall in London, Ontario. We are both Registered Nurse here in the Philippines. I want to know what would be the equivalence of RN in Philippines in the province of Ontario. I know for a fact that if I want to be an RN in Canada particularly in the province of Ontario. I need to study atleast 2years of RN in a University and take the CRNE. What kind of license can i apply for the mean time while preparing my self to be RN in CANADA? Will hospitals give me a job? How much would be the minimum salary? Thank you very much

This thread has been moved to the International Forum as per the banner at the top of the Canadian Nurse forum home page. All threads having to do with immigration and foregin nurse registration are to be posted in the International forum as they have very little to do with actually living and working in Canada.
There are already many threads that pose similar questions that have many many responses. Please do a search of the forum and read those threads.
Ontario is currently laying off nurses due to the downturn in their economy. Job prospects there are bleak even for nurses already registered in Canada.

Until you have eligibility to sit CRNE do not expect to work as a nurse.
