Nursing Students Student Assist

I've wanted to be a registered nurse more than any R.N. I know. I feel i have what it takes and more to accomplish my dream of being a R.N. because i am very passionate and motivated to succeed and excel in the Field of Nursing. My only set back is having the money needed to get started and make it though school because I can't afford tuition on my income with my bills . I see everyday what this job entails that is why I am so certain that being an R.N. is not only where I want to be its where i have to be! Helping ill people in the hospital atmosphere is what i want to do for life but I need a lot of help financially to get there. Please let me know if you can help me get started.

thank you for your consideration.

You need to look into grants, loans, scholarships, and local hospitals for funding.

If that doesn't work, and you get lots of money, would you give some to me to help pay off my student loans?

Very few of us can afford the high cost of education nowadays and most of us are in debt to loans when we are done.

I had to work full time while going to school. It's just what I had to do. Now that I'm going back, I have to take out loans becuase the tuition is 100 times what is was in my cheap community college for my ADN 15 years ago.

Sounds like you're totally motivated. Don't let finances get in the way. Talk to your school's financial aid people. When there's a will, there's a way, and you definately sound like you're going to make. Good luck.

There's plenty of money available to pay the tuition, so relax and go after it!

I know how you feel. I changed careers to become a nurse. I had to give up a job making 18 bucks an hour. we have a house and cars to pay for. so how did I do it. well i got lots of private education loans. some of them wil give you what ever you qualify for regardless of your tution. they just want proof you are enrolled. I took 30,000 to replace my salary so I could concentrate on school. I have lots of student loans now. but with my previous degree that is all I qualified for. sometimes you just have to suck it up and do it. they will get paid off, eventually, that is the wonderful thing about our government. they really don't mind how long you take to pay them off. as long as you make a payment evey month they don't care. I have a friend who is a doctor and she has well over a hundred thousand dollars in student loans. she makes little payments every month ( if she can't afford them she just calls and they lower it) so if you gotta take loans than do it. especially if nursing is really what you want to do!

How good does your credit have to be to take out student loans?

I know my credit is not very good at all! That is why I am so scared to ask any school about a loan. I figured as soon as they see my credit score they will laugh in my face and i really don't need anymore people telling me I'm not good enough because that really hurts especially with my strong passionate desire to be an R.N.

Why not just call & ask? They may be able to give you the info you need without your name. Good Luck :)

Federal Student Loans such as Stafford are not credit based because they are guaranteed by the government; they are based on need.
