I was accepted into USA's family psychiatric NP program and have been given 2 options, a 6 semester or a 9 semester program. I might have to decide on the 9 semester option but am concerned that if I graduate in Fall 2014 that I might not be able to test before this 2015 deadline I have read about. I apologize if this is posted elsewhere on the boards but does anyone know if I need to be concerned with graduating in Fall of 2014 and then being told that I can't sit for licensure in ~March/April 2015 because I don't have a doctorate?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

If by 2015 you are referring to the proposed DNP as being the required entry level degree then I would not be too concerned. I doubt it will happen by 2015. It may but then they also said no more ASN degrees. Only BSN allowed as the minimum degree for RN practice. I am sure there will be a mechanism in place for currently enrolled students.

Ok, whew!! Thanks for the info! I really don't think I will be able to do the program full-time as I'm married with 4 kids and have a FT job. I just didn't want to get all the way through the 9 semester program to then be told, "oops, you have to go on and get your DNP now because you didn't certify before 2015." I guess I should have known that a mechanism would be in place for students already working toward their MSN but I just wanted some reassurance. Thanks for responding!
