How about, "Anesthesia Awareness". It has the aspects of nursing and high tech issues when it comes to patients under anesthesia. I did an inservice awhile back on it and there is quite a bit written on the subject. Mike

The first thing that comes to my mind is the machines used for dialisis and how these save lives and prolong peoples lies until a suitable donor can be found, etc. It's specific enough for a report and oral report, and yet has a wealth of info to tap into.

Just wondering, how much advance notice were you given that you would have to do this?

Were you forewarned at the beginning of the semester and only given the info you needed to get stared 2 weeks before it was due.

Or have you had the information that you needed to do this for a while.

I ask as this relates to a presentation on stress, I which I will soon be preparing.

I was told at the beginning of the semster (only a few weeks ago) but this is a summer course which is severely condensed. We were not given the info on how to do it until last week. Like I said this is a condensed summer class and I am done with the class in a couple weeks. I know I can do this I just have to find a good topic to write on taht's all. I am good at last minute research papers. I just have to knwo what I will do the paper on. :) That is the part I am not so good at, is picking out juts one good topic. You all have been so very helpful to me. Thanks!!!

now agnus, that sounds like a wonderful subject as stress has its' positive and negative connotations....much luck. i'd be glad to help you with it, if you wish.

OK, I know it has been a couple years since I posted this but I thought I would let everyone know what I ended up doing my paper and speech on.

ready......*drum roll**

It was forensic nursing. I found it very interesting and fun to do. I had lots of gory pictures of entomology and other things. I was the only girl in a class of guys in a "guys" communications class. I ended up with the highest A in the class too! he he! It was fun and I grossed out the guys which was a lot of fun!
