Hello Everyone,
I know that I have posted several times on wanting to become a nurse. This Summer I had planned on taking A&P 1, 11 at a local community college, but I was informed by the college that I would not be allowed to take both courses in the summer. What the college said this that I could take Chemistry the first summer session and then take A&P 1 the second Summer session, but problem is that I have already taken Chemistry for which I received a grade of c not high enough for the nursing program and I as long as I passed Chemistry I cannot repeat due to me receiving financial aid. I do not have the money to pay out of pocket to repeat the course and even if I had the money to pay I would not be able to apply to the RN program until late fall 2017/spring 2018. My other option would be is to apply to and take the TEAS exam for the state LPN program which begins January 2017 After reading so many posts about not being able to find a job as an LPN In the state I do not know what to do. I am very confused on what to do. I would not mind working as a LPN in a nursing home as I have pass experience working as a nurses aid. I would like to know how bad is it for graduate LPN's in the state to find a job? Also is there a difference between the private LPN programs vs the state programs besides the cost. If I do go the LPN route I would like to attend A.I. Prince Technical School. Has anyone attended there , or any other LPN program could you give me a little insight of what the school that you attended was like? Sorry for being so long winded.
