Please clear my doubts about getting my CNA licence ?

I'm a 22 years old man living in south Florida. Currently I am doing my nursing school. I already passed: Fundamentals of nursing, Pharmacology, Medical Surgical nursing one, and now struggling with medical surgical two. I am taking a little time off from my current nursing school, due to some personal problems. In the mean time I want to get a CPA licence and wants to start working in some hospitals or nursing homes. I have a CPR licence.

My doubts are;

1. Do I need to go for CNA training classes as I already have some nursing classes as mentioned above ?

2. If I need to go, How long is normally CNA training will be (the fastest)?

3. How much do I need to pay for classes ( if I need to take them) ?

4. Is there any places that I could get free or cheap CNA training (sorry, I work in a Publix, pays noting much) ?

5. Whats basically next step, or where should I go for a test ......?

6. How much does a part time CNA gets paid on average scale ?

Thank you very much...

All of the answers to those questions will vary wildly depending on your location. The only way you can know for sure is to call up a business that offers CNA training and ask.

I see that you live in Florida. In this state, it is not required that you take a CNA program, you can "challenge" the exam without any prior training. However, a lot of places will allow you to work as a CNA even without taking the test, if you have already passed a semester of nursing school. I believe with Prometric it is $140 to apply to take the exam. Again though, you may not even need to take it. See if some assisted living homes or other places of employment will hire you as a nursing student.
