  1. Hello guys... I know its like comparing apples with oranges. I have been working as a dialysis nurse for last 5 years. I've worked in clinics with Davita, Fresenius, and HCA acutes as well. Right now, I'm kind of thinking to switch my speciality to Hospice care. I have no plan in doing med surg, telemetry, or ICU. I was wondering how it will be in a hospice inpatient center. I have no interest in doing home hospice care. My prime concern is better working hours. Dialysis has crazy hours in clinics starting from 4 am. Acute dialysis has oncalls which I don't love, also Acutes dialysis gets boring sometimes as well. I used to handle dialysis clinics with 16+ patients per shift pretty good. I was wondering how is the stress levels in hospice facilities comparing to dialysis clinics. I know they both are completely different, but I wanna know about the levels or intensity of pressure you feel in hospice. What hours you work in hospice centers, and main stress factors. Thank you very much.
  2. Hi people. I need information about ARNP program requirements. I am a registered nurse presently working in Dialysis for about three years. I have an associates degree from a non accredited college. I always had a passion for psych. I am 27 years old guy presently working 6 days. So, the question is about doing MSN and becoming a psych ARNP. 1. Is it possible to do completely asn to MSN online since I'm working 6 days. 2. How long it could take to complete the whole process. 3. Any extra advices Thank you all
  3. I will be taking nclex for the first time on DEC 9th, 2016. So far, I've done half questions from uworld and about half of NCSBN review. By the time, I will be completing both. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE REAL TEST. IS IT MORE SIMILAR TO U WORLD OR NCSBN REVIEW? When I do uworld I score really low between 40 and 60. When I do NCSBN review, I go around 65 to 80. So what you guys think, is passing the test on first time is possible for me..is there a chance? Uworld fails me with their select all that apply questions. Around how much will u see for the real nclex . anyways....I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THE REAL TEST. IS IT MORE SIMILAR TO U WORLD OR NCSBN REVIEW? 4. How to send by name to nursing boards for taking NCLEX. I'm at the end of my ASN program surviving all hurdles. From what I've heard, the exit exam of this college is super tough, almost impossible. Only two people passed at first attempt on last exam out of 20+ students. So what I am asking is about my plan B if in case I could't make their exit exam, then I need a way some how to sit for NCLEX. Either way, I will be doing a Kaplan exam before doing my NCLEX..... All I need to know..is there a way to get to do NCLEX for me if I fail their exit....any state is fine....it doesn't really matter which board. Thank you
  5. I'm a 22 years old man living in south Florida. Currently I am doing my nursing school. I already passed: Fundamentals of nursing, Pharmacology, Medical Surgical nursing one, and now struggling with medical surgical two. I am taking a little time off from my current nursing school, due to some personal problems. In the mean time I want to get a CPA licence and wants to start working in some hospitals or nursing homes. I have a CPR licence. My doubts are; 1. Do I need to go for CNA training classes as I already have some nursing classes as mentioned above ? 2. If I need to go, How long is normally CNA training will be (the fastest)? 3. How much do I need to pay for classes ( if I need to take them) ? 4. Is there any places that I could get free or cheap CNA training (sorry, I work in a Publix, pays noting much) ? 5. Whats basically next step, or where should I go for a test ......? 6. How much does a part time CNA gets paid on average scale ? Thank you very much...
