Please Can Somebody Help Me !!

I am a foreign trained nurse,registered in Nigeria.I passed my CGFNS & English test in 2006.I have my CGFNS Certificate as well as my Visa screening certificate.I registered with an agent who promised to help proces my immigration to USA,unfortunately the said agent folded up without completing my papers and now is suggesting transfering me to another group to start all over again, am so confused can somebody hear me out and give me a useful suggestion on what next to do bearing in mind the issue of retrogression.

If they haven't filed any paperwork there is nothing that can be done. Even if you go to another petitioner you generally have to start all over again and file a new I140 as they are job specific. Either way you are going to be affected by retrogression

Did you actually give any money to this agent to assist you in processing your documents? If you have and they have gone out of business, chances are that you will never see that money again either.

Let this be a lesson for others that are reading here, if an agency goes out of business, then you start over from day 1 as if you have never done anything. Whatever time that you had been waiting for has been wasted, even if they had filed for the I-140 already for you.

This is why it is so very important to really know your employer/agency before you do a thing. We are expecting to see many more go out of business.
