I am planning to move to Nova Sctia, and I would like to know where are the level one trauma hospitals are located in Nova Scotia and which are the better hospital(s). Also, I would like to know where are the best place to live once I know where I would be working. I am a mastered prepare nurse with 15 years experience in cardiac intensive care, nurse educator and E.R nursing as well. I also want to know if legal nurse consultants are employeed in Canada. Thanks Bullseye:argue:

Would probably say Halifax is going to be the area to work. I live more towards NB on the NS north shore and although we have a regional hospital I don't think it is big on trauma.

I know a neighbour had to go to Halifax when she broke her leg and it is 2 hours away

the only level 1 trauma centre in nova scotia is the qeii health sciences centre in halifax...i work in their er.

incidentally though...i have family who lives in the annapolis valley, about 1 1/2 hours away from halifax...and the valley regional hospital in kentville has dealt nicely with things such as broken bones, mi's, etc. just not level 1 traumas. :p

pm me if you want to ask any more specific questions about the area...i've lived here all my life and would be happy to help you out.
