Places that are bearable?

:uhoh3: HELP..I need a job fast. I'm in Ft. Myers area, and am not sure where to apply for nurs. position. Background in geriatrics, but would like to try something new. I have an RN license. Surely there must be FL. nurses reading who can give me some good tips. Best hospital? Home care? Clinic? any ideas would be appreciated. Don't know how I'll wait 3 months for med. ins. down here...which is what I'm finding in my search. Anyone know of employment where its 30 day wait for medical coverage? Thanks everyone.:)

Having lived in Lehigh Acres and Fort Myers for several years, I can say without hesitation that there are plenty of jobs in Lee County. There are two Lee Memorial Hospital Campuses - both are vewry large hospitals and both offer a great benefit program as well as comp. salary. There is also two HCA facilities - Gulf Coast Hospital as well as Southwest Regional Medical Center .... both are outstanding hospitals. Out in Lehigh Acres, there is Lehigh Regional Medical Center .... small, but another nice place to work.

Each hospital has a web site that provides a career link so you can see what positions are open. In addition, there are a large number of nursing homes that are in Fort Myers .... HCR/ManorCare is very large there as well as Beverly Health Care and Vencor.

I am sure you will be able to find a job without too much trouble. Good luck!
