03/24/09 placements, The Who Got in Where Thread

Published

Congrats on all of those who finally got in today...

Please post where you got in, your timestamp, and what choice it was on your list. This will serve two purposes...

- it will give those that didn't get in an idea of where/when they will fall in future placements (or approximately where they are on the list)

- and it will serve as a meeting place for future classmates

Enjoy and Congrats again!

Ok, I give up...

Sorry, baru, but I don't know my date/time stamp other than after October 20, 2007. It is no longer on the nursing page now that I have "accepted".

no worries, my friend... good luck in your program

I got into my first choice a MCC. My date/time stamped was Oct. 22, 2007 8:05;31am.

Off of the subject a little but does anyone know when you receive your information packets for the school?? I'm asking because my packet will be sent to my mailing address which is my parents address. So I'd like to give my folks a heads up to about when it will arrive. Also does anyone know what your first semester's classes will be??

Scottsdale CC Accelerated, first choice.:yeah:

What did all of you do while you waited...and is the wait worth the low cost? I'm still debating with myself to go private route or just finish my pre-req's and wait....tell me it's worth it......

Hi sassiebaz,

The wait for everyone who applied before 2008 was pretty long, but now since you only need a few classes for your pre-reqs you can apply and then while you are waiting, you can finish the co-reqs while you wait. So I guess the wait won't seem as long and you won't have to take random filler classes in between or just sit around and do nothing... and as far as going the private route, I personally don't think it's worth the cost for those schools, but hey if you can afford it then that's a different story. I think the wait was worth it for the low cost of a community college. Good luck in whatever you decide!! :)

Well, I sure as heck can't afford $40K. But it is enticing being that I'd be waiting two plus years. But I think if I can knock out these klast few pre-reqs in the next year I may not feel so hopeless about the wait. It's so hard for me to stay focused though. I get discouraged pretty easily......I'm working on classes right now so I'm trying to take it one day at a time! Thanks!

Has anyone been accepted to GWCC Accelerated program for fall? I haven't seen many posts on here for the west side schools.

Also, in regards to the packets, I spoke to GWCC this morning and they said they are still finalizing the schedules and clinical information so it probably wouldn't be sent out until at least June.

I'm not sure if you were talking to me too...but, I am starting Maricopa Skill Center on May 8th. I didn't have to wait at all to get in because they go by the Top 40 NET scores. So, i will graduate in 1 year with an LPN and then start Block 3 right after. Thanks.

They re-ran placements today and I got in to Glendale Community College part time weekend program!! I was shocked since my advisor told me Spring 2010 is when I could expect placement. I've been waiting since Feb 08! :) WOO HOO!!!!!! I start this summer. If anybody else got in to this program PM me :) Hooray:yeah:

I got into Mesa CC/Boswell Program to start this Fall. It was my 4th campus choice & they received my application March 13, 2008. I hope this helps anyone who is wanting to establish a baseline for how long the waitlist might be.
