Be aware that they got their approval from Az BON to begin offering an ADN-RN program beginning this July, out of their Mesa campus.
Pre-requisites can be done at the same time as the program. It is 96 weeks long, not sure of the cost. They will be accepting thirty students and hope to begin a new class every 8 to 12 months.........
Hope that this helps some of you............. :balloons:

Wow, this is great for people who want to get started with nursing but still have all their pre-reqs to do. I wonder how much $$$ it costs. Anyone know what a normal degree at PMI usually runs??
This is nothing like any of their "normal" programs which are usually assistant type classes. I just suggest that you contact their Mesa office. There is a class beginning this July, and there were still some openings the other day. :)

They charge something like $5,000 for the medical assistant program. This was told to me by an MA extern several years ago. I cannot imagine what they will charge for a nursing program. It would be interesting to know the details.

In last Monday or Tuesdays Tribune they had an article that said nursing school was around 30,000. I called and they wouldn't give me an exact figure but since I'm in my last semester of pre-req's they said it would be cheaper than normal. I'm not sure how they can teach people who have never had pre-req's along with people who have had them, it'll be interesting to find out.

I was in a Diploma program, back in the old days.....I already had a BS in Biology and there were quite a few that started right out of high school. It really didn't cause any problems. Each person has their own strengths and weaknesses. And we had a very high completion rate of the program as well as very high pass rate........ :)
I listed it more as an option for some that have a two year wait for some other programs.......Just to let them know that there are other options out there. :)
:chuckle :chuckle :rotfl: :chuckle $30,000 for an associates degree?????? :chuckle :chuckle :rotfl:
For those that do not want to wait the extra two years it is an option.
Do the math, if you can finish school two years quicker, and not have to do all fo the pre-reqs beforehand, you are actually further ahead. You wil be earning an RN salary.
This is just an option for those that need one. :)

OR, you can become a tech, get tuition reimbursement, go to school for free, and become an RN two years later and not be $30,000 in debt. I think that math is pretty easy on that one.
I think that PMI is a great option for people, but 30,000 grand is pretty hard to justify.....IMO
You usually need to be at the facility for one year to get tuition reimbursement. Or you have to agree to work for so many years at that facility. For those who already have degrees and do not want to wait for two years to get in, this could work.............
I just believe that someone should have choices, and if they want to pay extra to be able to get it done quicker, then it is their choice.........I was just letting peole knw that the program exists, and was starting in two months and that it had openings.............
