PIH Health Whittier Hospital, New Grad Program: August 2025 Cohort

Hi Everyone,

I received the questionnaire link over the weekend and was able to submit my top three unit choices. I'm hoping we all get called in for interviews, just getting to that stage feels so tough these days. Wishing everyone the best of luck! Let's keep each other updated about our application progress!

Mind still says active 2 only 

Trust me I have been applying everywhere else and only able to get 2 interviews so far for SNFs(one in SD and other in Sacramento).... not what I wanted but at this point I will take anything. I was just trying to be hopeful on getting an interview at PIH bc I live in OC ;(

this is super strange. has anyone been called to interview for any unit? Maybe they're cancelling the cohort?

Yes, they are still doing interviews. I'm an internal and I have been interviwed. Also I heard that July 25th might be the last day to interview for august cohort.

I heard that now they preferred BSN or if you have ADN + enrollment to RN-BSN program. Also they just select really few amount of people for interview. So the recruiters filter it first before they even go to the managers of the units. And each unit only hires 2-3 new grad.

Not true my classmate got in with ADN.PIH. Not enrolled actually

Not me. Still have hope that maybe they'll reach out by next week. Anything after next week, I'm going to assume we're just not going to get any interview offers

I have talked to one of the unit's director. She said it is a new policy that they are slowly implementing because they have so many ADN's nurses in the floor already. But just like what I said, it is preferred but not required.
