You had an interview then? I applied for PICU & never heard back from them along with the ED. I haven't gotten a rejection email either so I still feel defeated ? I'm sorry to hear that, it's just really tough for all of us new grads here in California that it's made it almost impossible to find a job

Please ??? so there's still a small chance then?! I'm seriously praying for all of us in this situation that we hear back soon hopefully for the better bc the wait is killing me! I had seriously lost all hope after seeing ppl getting called/emails for the 2 units I preference for.

I applied! I just don't remember exactly what 2 units I put as preference I for sure did trauma observation which is Scripps Mercy if I'm not mistaken. I have a BSN, currently working for the past 2 months at a SNF ? I graduated in Jan 2025, passed NCLEX in April & applied everywhere with only 2 interviews. 1 I wasn't given an offer & 2nd the job I'm currently in. I've still been applying and nothing. It's really rough out here. Graduated with no direct patient care experience (which I regret) but was a medical scribe in the ER at a level I ER but apparently that's not good enough even tho I have recommendation letters from the ER attendings.

For those who got an email for ED and PICU when did you guys get the email? Days ago or just yesterday? I applied to both those departments and I haven't heard anything back, I am losing hope at this point

I don't think they made any calls this week due to the holidays (at least that's what I'm telling myself ?) hopefully starting next week we start hearing from more units

Was it a 858 area code btw? Everyone in the past seems to have said it is. I don't like answering my phone bc 95% of the time it's a "scam likely" or other random numbers who don't leave voicemails

Not sure how they've worked in the past but now that they merged with CHOC IDK if they will implement the same process as CHOC does. But CHOC they do group interviews first and then I think individual, they also do like a Simulation + med math test so it's an all day thing like from 8-5. But again Radys could be doing it differently

From what was shown during the info session it looks like 6-8 weeks post closed application date. So most likely as early as this week some units might start calling and some as late as first week of December. They also said interviews will start sometime in mid/late December. Hopefully we all hear something soon!

Can I ask what number was that called you? I put my resume up on zip recruiter and now I'm getting nonstop sketchy calls and not answering my phone ?? I heard it's a 562 number

Trust me I have been applying everywhere else and only able to get 2 interviews so far for SNFs(one in SD and other in Sacramento).... not what I wanted but at this point I will take anything. I was just trying to be hopeful on getting an interview at PIH bc I live in OC ;(

Same, nothing has changed yet. Still says active. I even applied for the ICU/CCU and they sent a questionnaire within 2 days compared to the other positions it was a whole month after so I was hopeful they'd reply back soon but same, "active" in all 3 applications

Mine hasn't either. I just checked now since someone's status changed to a unit but nothing still says "active". I wish I knew someone who currently works there so I could ask them if this is normal for PIH. The cohort starts in a month and at this point I'm starting to believe that they went on with other candidates but who knows... still trying to be hopefull

Has anyone received any updates? Calls or emails on interviews? I keep checking my application status and it just says active
