Piedmont New Grad nurse Residency 2014

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to start this thread because I am very interested in the Piedmont New Grad nursing residency program summer/fall 2014 in Atlanta. It will be nice if you could share your experience or share your thoughts about anything. Did anyone apply for the Summer/Fall program yet?

Where did you work for the year before applying? I am moving to atlanta and trying to figure out where else to apply

My daughter just got an offer for the CVU residency on May 30th. She has to let them know by Mon. She has not taken the NCLEX yet...just graduated yesterday! Out of state

Congratulations! I am happy for your daughter and you must be so proud!! I applied for the CV program and interviewed as well but I did not hear anything back.

I called several times, sent e mails, left voice mails, and still no response.

Congrats to all that got accepted!!! I wish you guys the best of luck!

Has anyone heard anything from Piedmont?

Unfortunately, no.

Wanted to meet people doing Piedmont's residency, anyone here doing it?? Comment back or send me a message.

I am! But I can't send messages :/

My daughter has been waiting to get her license since applying on June 2. If she doesn't have her license by July 28th, she can't start the residency program. The board keeps saying there have been delays and be patient...getting very frustrated because Piedmont wants her there by July 21 for a physical!!!

Hi. I'm not a new grad but I am looking into moving to GA and I'm looking for information about Piedmont. I am an icu RN and will be hoping to get a job in the icu. Do any of y'all have any experience in the icu there or know of anyone who could give me an inside perspective? Thanks

I had the same issue with the GA board of nursing. I have sent my school transcripts and did my background check almost a month ago and everything was still pending. I was calling every single day to make sure somehow my stuff was getting processed. Make sure you give them the TCN number that they gave you when your daughter took her fingerprints. It took them exactly 10 business days from the time they received my school transcript to process my documents. I got my ATT number last thursday and I registered for my exam right away. The closest ones had openings on the 16th and the 25th for this month. I wish you good luck. I was really frustrated with them.

Are you out of state? Where and when are you taking the NCLEX? Everything is complete on her status except her transcripts. They say they haven't received them yet... sent on June 23 directly from the school. They're probably sitting on someone's desk. I'm going to call the executive director today.

I applied as out of state. I have my exam scheduled for 25th of july in atlanta 30338. they told me that for the transcript to get processed takes 10 business days from the time they get it. They should give you a number by the end of this week, i would think. Wish you good luck, hopefully it works out for you. I would keep calling ....
