Hi y'all!

I just got home from my interview with Piedmont, and I'd have to say it went really well!

The first thing you'll do when you come to piedmont is to park at their north deck which is hard to find because of all the construction, but you'll find it I can't explain how I found it cause I was lost for ten minutes, so make sure you get here early. You'll go into their employment center(there's a sign that says employment center), and speak with their receptionist. Depending on what time you get there you'll sit down and wait while they call the clinical manager to come get you. I happened to be interviewing for their Med Surg units, so one of them came to get me, and we walked together into the hospital and onto one of their floors. I was taken to a room, and there were six unit managers there, which was really nerve wrecking.

Through the actual interview, they first started by introducing themselves and talking about their unit, including bed numbers and what they treat and such. After that, they asked me some behavioral questions, like why Piedmont, stuff like that. They had two clinical questions. But those I'll keep a surprise for y'all :) After that, we went over what questions I had, and they asked for my top three unit choices and whether I wanted days or not.

That's really all I have to say about the interview, but I felt really at ease with all of them and it was really easy to talk to all of them, so it didn't actually feel like an interview with me. If you have any questions just shoot me a questions here or in my DM's!

Oh wow! Which are you gonna be in? I have offers for their med surg units but I just got an offer from Emory for Neuro ICU so I'm thinking on that, but I'm also really considering working at Shepherd where I'm doing my preceptorship, so I'm giving the nurse manager my resumé hopefully when I come in Thursday night or Friday morning, so I have a lot of thinking to do. You got any advice for that?

i feel you should pick where you feel you would feel the most comfortable at. i like the environment at piedmont, plus they have epic so thats an easy transition for me as well. i picked Ortho. the manager was really nice and supportive, which was really important tor me choosing between my job offers.

Epic is a great reason hahaha Shepherd's gonna move to it in April so whoop! I interviewed with the ortho manager too! She's wonderful and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful residency with her If Shepherd had a residency I'd choose them hands down, but they don't so I'll have to do so much research before Monday.

Congratulations! What unit are you being offered? I'm not entirely sure about uniform distribution but I would have to assume that you would have to at least purchase the uniforms from their vendor.

I also got a job offer at Piedmont hospital in Atlanta. Start in February. I am currently in North Carolina. I haven't taken the NCLEX yet. Have any of you?
