PHSC Fall 2016 Hopefuls

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!! I'm starting this new thread in hopes of finding some returning or new applicants to PHSCs Fall 2016 RN orogram! This will be my 4th time applying 3rd in a row..... I'm planning on retaking my Teas to try for a better composite score.. will be applying to all available campuses for the RN transition program! :-)

I did a live chat just now and they sent me the email for the drug testing. There are multiple collection sites as it is a national company (I don't want to give too much info as per our instructions in the packet - but just so you know there isn't only one location or restricted hours).

I am leaving for a short vacation Wednesday and don't want to fall outside the deadline for these items due within the week, so I am trying to be proactive in getting the info ASAP so I can get this done. We've worked so hard for our spots, we don't want to lose them because we miss deadlines, right??

anyone up for making an lpn west campus facebook page?

I just got off the phone with Castle Branch. They just emailed my Drug Screen Registration and told me how to order the fingerprints. There is a code that has to be used which I could not find in the packet. So I am going to email the person I got my packet from to let her know so that maybe they can let everyone else know.

I have the code as well, the problem is that the pin can only be used once, which was the order to start the background check. However, to complete the order for the Level 2, the pin needs to be reset. This is where I'm in a pickle. :(

I'm in the LPN Program at North Campus. I started my packet today. I just requested my order for the background screening, so lets see if I hear back in the next 24 hours or so for further instructions on that task. I also have my finger printing appointment tomorrow to get that done. Paper work galore...

does anyone know when they are changing our major in our wise? because my financial aid depends on it and I rather have them do this sooner than later because we all know how stressful financial aid is

Mine has changed, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. It says I have to signn up for 6 or more hours which I can't do till August 10th.

so you already signed up for classes? cause how do they know you need 6 more hours

Are the PN classes not enough hours to be considered full time? :0

No, I don't think we can sign up till the Aug. 10th. So in my Wise account it says I'm not eligible for financial aid until I am registered for at least 6 credit hours.

makes sense! do you know when your major got updated?

LPN hours... don't even get me started. They're considered "clock hours." That's an ENTIRELY different financial aid system. There's a woman in FA who works specifically with clock hour students. They will be explaining it in our orientation coming up shortly. You still probably won't understand it when the time comes. I still don't understand the process and I graduated from PHSC LPN lol. I know you need to get your major switched to AA - option 2.
