Phoenix area travel nursing

Published

I submitted to three hospitals this morning for L&D travel positions: Arrowhead Community Hospital in Glendale, Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix, and West Valley Hospital in Goodyear. Can anyone tell me anything about how these hospitals are to work for, or how are the areas to live in? I'm bringing two teen boys and a dog and want to be in a safe area for them. Any details you can give me about the hospitals or units would be helpful too!

I got offers from West Valley AND Banner Good Samaritan. I'm accepting Banner Good Samaritan because the money's better, and because I want the experience (I've never worked in a level III hospital). I'm excited! So anyone out there with info, let's hear it; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

You made the best choice out of the three. The area around the hospital is not the best, it will be a great opportunity though! Good luck to you!

I am also a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I will be starting to travel in April. What company are you with?

Cheryl, I sent you a PM.

Pick Good sam...I love it here. I work directly with banner. They provided great housing for me about 10min from good sam. The nurses are so nice and helpful. we get 4-5 patients at most on nights Medsurg

Sweetgurly, would you mind telling me where your housing is? You can PM me if you'd like. I've heard that the hospital is in a bad area and want to make sure I have nice safe housing that's close to the hospital. Thanks!
