I am going back to Philippines to finish my nursing degree. I am an american citizen and will be finishing school in a school in Olongapo CIty. I was wondering what criteria do I need to look for when choosing a school in the Philippines? and what requrements I may need when I apply for NCLEX?

Moved to the Philippine nursing program forum
Each US state has their own requirements on what is acceptable. Suggest searching the Nurse Registration forum for the states you plan to register with to see if other Philippine nurses have had problems. California comes straight to mind plus at least 14 other states are having issues with overseas training and theory not always concurrent with clinical. This is something I would recommend you get sorted with before starting your training. Also check out the state BON website (links can be found at the bottom of the page)
You will always be classed as a International trained nurse regardless on being a USC so be aware that things can take several months when going through the nurse registration with a state before getting eligibility to sit NCLEX (which is a part of the registration process)

Emphasis on the "always." Keep in mind you will be an internationally trained nurse for the rest of your career, however long you practice in the US. Not just on initial licensure, but any time in the future that you want to get licensed in another state, you will have extra paperwork and extra hoops to jump through. Just something to be aware of.

If you plan to practice in CA (or the other States that's enforcing the concurrency rules, so far not needed if you plan to work-practice in FL, NY or TX)), I would highly suggest that you meet face-to-face with the Dean and a higher up staff member or e-mail to them the following type questions:
1). I'm sure that you are all very much aware and have good knowledge of the concurrency issues that are denying thousands upon thousands of PH grad applicants due to the CHED, PRC and PNA all not setting the proper and correct curriculums that's been the primary cause from the transcripts being submitted on the PH students or PH nurses behalf.
2). Knowing that even the top 5 PH schools in the entire country is also not in full compliance with the minimum educational standards as set forth by not only the CA BON requirements, but also of many other USA states. ASK: what have you done to not only CORRECT this but can give me 100% assurance that your school has recently gotten ANY and ALL PH students the successful letter stating that they are now ELIGIBLE to take the NCLEX-RN in CA (and the State of your dream choice).
3). I would like to speak directly with those successful students that you say have gotten their ATT in CA or I would like to get their e-mail address, thank you. Notice you are being direct and discreet in requesting this information and you must INSIST on this personal verification so that you're happy with the results. If you skip this step and find out later (after enrollment), that your school is not truthful, then that's completely YOUR fault, not the school's. You must take your own responsibility and not depend on others.
3). Ask to see or verify your proposed school's success in the records of those PH students NCLEX-RN passing rates, you can also verify thru the CHED files, but do this as a double-check as well.
