Hello guys! Is anybody here knows if the APCN training in PGH on November will continue? I went to the DNET office of PGH last august and found out that they will release the Dean's Form on November 28, 2011 around 9am and you will undergo an examination. One of the requirements is you should pay the php 14,900 training fee... Sigh! That's really DEPPRESSING coz 15k is not a joke, isn't it???? Pls somebody tell me if the PGH-ACPN training is not under DOH memorandum gainst false volunteerism???

hi ms.anj! i read from the other thread (PGH feedback) that they changed the type of exam.. hmm. my tip is to brush up on your basic nursing skills (fundamentals) and computations. no hard core questions were asked but the exam has a time limit (1 hour or 1 1/2 hours??) so answer as fast and as accurately as you can. the exam is the "weeding out" process of the whole application because based from my experience, only a few people had moved on to the next step.

for the panel interview, i don't know what to tell but be prepared.. I was one of the few who was asked with "personal" questions (like tell me about yourself.. hobbies.. experiences as a volunteer nurse). I remember telling to the next interviewee that I was asked with those questions.. Unfortunately, she got the more "technical" questions, although they are mostly about fundamental of nursing (what is pain..) so there.. I guess just be prepared. :)

Applying for PGH is a very long process. =( I filed my application on Feb, passed the exam on April then passed the panel interview on July. One more step (final interview) and I guess more waiting time for the deployment. Patience is a virtue.. I hope, all of us will be given a chance to work on PGH.. :)

thankyou thorabeech for that. I'll be having my panel interview on Dec. 6. Im quite nervous. I think I need to prepare myself by reviewing basic nursing procedures, right? Goodluck to all of us nurses!

hello pipau,, i took my exam on same date as u took yours... my panel interview was scheduled oct25 but then it is move to nov22, are you on the same scenario? level of anxiety increases as the date comes closer...:nurse::crying2:

thanks for your reply pipau... i thought all npe passer on the same date also have the same sched on their panel but i guess it depends how long you submitted your requirement.
