Sorry for the very late reply :-) I suggest you to focus on Fundamentals of Nursing but do not overlook the other efficient subjects as well...You should be very keen and specific on answering - doing this would HELP you a lot - as they say the exam is very easy but still many are managed not to pass the exam. According to them, the mortality rate of the exam is 85-90%. Why this happens? It's because many are not paying attention to the hidden pitfalls of the exams. You don't need to be a genius nor to review all of the nursing stuffs that you seemed forgotten. You just have to bring your common sense and prayers with you and there you go :-) Luckily, i'm one of the 37 persons who passed the Jan. 20, 2012 NPE exam and will be submitting my documents required by the PGH to be submitted :-)

hi mizafiro18....hope this helps. My friend told me that if you are taking a 100 item PSYCH EXAM and the proctors want it to be accomplished in a meager time interval (15mins), don't answer ALL of the questions because the name itself implies: PSYCH exam, it needs THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING. Just answer questions that you can correctly answer.. :-)

As I said before, they are on CONTINUOUS HIRING (but a staff nurse from up-pgh that next year, probably they might have a temporary freeze hiring because it's election..so as early as tomorrow, I think you should pass your application form.) Tomorrow's the release of dean's form for the apcn training.

Hello ..... I went to the PRC yesterday and I inquire about being a registered nurse-midwife.... They said that you should be a REGISTERED NURSE (not for nursing students yet), have your CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION WITH YOU (unfortunately i'm a July 2011 passer and the sched of release of my COR is on june 2012 next year... , Although i have my prc license with me, i'm still not qualified because the photocopy of my COR is a must....trivia: the Certificate of Registration is our REAL LICENSE and the sole basis of or professionalism, the prc card is the second basis..), Completed the 20+5+5 format ( 20 deliveries, 5 suturing and 5 IV insertions) The lady in the releasing window gave me 2pcs of this format, 1 for scratch, the other 1 maybe an extra but a friend said that the cases should be printed in a handwritten form, though i'm NOT SURE about that, somebody should please help me clarify this ) I suggest you guys to go personally in the PRC. I went there yesterday at 5:00pm and they are about to close. Luckily, I was still entertained by the PRC and answered my queries. Unfortunately, i'm still have more things to ask but

Hi all!!! :-) Anyone here scheduled on the 20th of January 2011 for the NPE nurse 1 position??? Godbless and goodluck to us! I hope and pray that we'll pass! My dear colleagues who already passed in the NPE exam, how's your application going on?? The one whoo accommodated us in the PGH bayanihan said that after you pass the NPE exam, the next step to do is to finish the entire hiring process and wait for 2-3 years to be deployed... I'm really thinking positive that i can make it through, I will pass :-)

I reccommend Kaplan, Mind's nest, or Rachel Allen for NCLEX-RN Exam.

NPE is for the staff nurse position (manpooling) and if you pass the whole hiring process, you'll be deployed in 2-3 years maximum. If you are a upm student, you'll be hired for 7-8 months. 85-90% is the mortality rate, In addition, the exam is basic but is really hard, even few upm applicants were failing to pass.

Hi there! Just got home from PGH and found out that they are on continuous hiring for nurse/nursing attendant positions. First, you should get an application form and a request form to pay an NPE fee for 200 php. Complete your application form together with the receipt and a photocopy of your prc license as well. I'm scheduled to take an exam on January 21, 2012 1pm at the ERC (emergency room conference, just go there right after your application, it's on the right side of the main building, near the bloodbank/laboratory, pass through it and there you go. ) Mortality rate is 85-90%, the guy nurse who accommodated us told that we should be focusing on FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING. not on MS, pedia, chn, etc... He said that the exam is really BASIC but these basic stuffs were usually the one overlooked by nurses. After you pass the NPE, all things will easily fall into it's places if you do your best. They said that it is for manpooling purposes, if you pass, you should wait for 2-3 years to be deployed. If you are a UP-PGH nursing graduate, priority will be given for you upon passing he NPE exam ( they usually wait for 7-8 months to be deployed). Someone told me that there is backer system there but it doesn't give you an assurance to be employed as a staff nurse. Instead, i just hasten your deployment process.. about the reuirements, just bring 200 php, photocopy of prc license and accomplished application form...no more other requirements. Study hard! :) About the APCN training program of PGH, you should go there at nov 28 a 9am in the morning to get a dean's form that is to be signed by your university coordinator. A staff nurse told me that we should be really patient to get a dean's form... there are few applicants who went there at 10pm the night before the release of the dean's form just to have it... after the release of the dean's form, there are still more requirements to be posted.

Too bad... Just got home from Jose reyes memoria med cener and I found ot that RNHEALS2 program in their instittion is already closed since last week... :-(
