I have to agree that $600 is a rip off, It only costs approximately $200 more or less for a "Review Center" here in the U.S. I am a student in the US, I am researching Review Centers in the Philippines because, I will be going to the Philippines in the summer after I graduate in May. I thought I might as well Review there but the prices are way too steep, especially if all the bad reviews are true. I have to admit I changed my mind. $600 to me is a lot of money especially if I also have to spend $8000 to go to the Philippines.

Hello everyone, I am a nursing student in the US. I had promised my mother I would go back to the Philippines as soon as I graduated. I decided I would stay in the Philippines for at two or more months so that my vacation would be worth it, [especially since I have not seen my mother in ten years]. However, I do not want to lose everything that I learned during that time. I would like to enroll in an NCLEX Review center somewhere around Marikina or Las Pinas. Does anyone know any around those areas. I would like to attend a seated review class, since my family does not have any internet connection. I would also prefer a two week crash course type review class so I can enjoy my vacation. Do review centers in the Philippines offer that type of review class. In addition, I would like to know how much a seated 10 day crash course review class would cost. What sort of requirements are needed to enroll? What sort of materials does one need? [For example do I need to bring my laptop to the Philippines, do I need to buy books, & etc.]

I found this really intersting post or rather a piece of it dated some years ago. The most interesting part for me was this statement "I find that many of these programs try so hard to keep a reputation consisting of being the "most" challenging/demanding that they forget that sometimes in the process the students aren't able to retain as much as they should because they are more worried & concerned about just getting that grade to keep above the curve." I was somewhat relieved that I was not the only one who felt the same way about the constant anxiety about grades. I live in NC and apparently other ADN programs as far as NY are also just as touch. If you feel that you are also in a very touch program, I'd like to hear a little baout it. I am interested in others' experiences. [Please state which state you are from and what ADN program].
