Hi everyone, I didn't see any threads for current PhD applicants for the next academic year so I decided to start one so we can encourage each other through the application process ?
Any one else applying? If so where and what is your research focus?
I just submitted my applications to Emory, Hopkins, Penn, and University of Miami. I'm finishing up my MSN in December and decided to go straight through with a PhD. Hoping to hear good news come February!
Not sure if I’m gonna reapply or not. Deb said the DNP portion still hasn’t made their decision yet, so I suppose I’ll wait and decide then.
I actually called after I responded (because I'm temporarily away from my permanent address... and didn't want to wait a month to check my snail mail)... and she told me the same thing... she said my decision isn't released yet because I applied to the dual PhD/DNP....
I'm unsure if I'd re-apply. Honestly might take it as a sign to change some things up life and career-wise and re-consider in a few years or so.

hello all, Im currently a new nurse with a BSN, I love research and participated in some in my undergradute years, I want to become a nursing professor eventually. I want to go back to school in a few years for a PhD. I was wondering does anyone have an tips or recommendations, Im also wondering did you all keep in contact with previous professors over the years?
