PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!

I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

I am probably old enough to be most of your mothers, think how stressful it is on an old lady. lol

I have been a CNA for 15 years. It has been a long time since i went to school. I am so proud that the young people on here are so responsible and mature enough to care about their future.

STEPHEN! My heart completely SANK into my stomach when I read your "I got a letter today..." Stinker! Lol

@KarolAnn and all of the others who keep referring to themselves as the "older" generations...I am so excited to have class and go through the whole nursing school adventure with generations different from my own. I feel like every other 22 year old I know is caught up in the dating and partying scene. I'm an old soul...22 going on 72, I like to say ;-) I'd take reading a book with my cup of tea at home over partying any evening...although there is this total dump of a bar near our house that my husband and I like to go to on the occasional Friday night to people watch...they have karaoke...it gets very interesting to say the least. That's about as wild as I get though. I have even tried hanging out with people my age lately and it just doesn't click...I feel like getting married young and moving away from everyone I know has definitely forced me to grow up and QUICK. We will all have our different perspectives from our life journeys, which I think will be one of the most valuable aspects of our upcoming educational endeavor!

Do you all think we'll still get the letters this week? I don't know about that. If they meet tomorrow I doubt they'll mail them out then. Maybe they'll mail them on Thursday so we'd get them on Saturday but given how slow they are with everything, I doubt they'd be nice enough to mail them out ASAP so we'll probably get them next week.

Although, they could still be lying and do the same thing that they did the other year and we'll get the letters tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Thank you AF WIFE. You are the hope of our countries future. So glad there are young people like you still out there. I got married very young and i was alot like you in my lifestyle. I hope to meet you in school this fall.

I'm with you! Went back to college last year, 18 years after I dropped out! Diversity is good, but my eye cream is working overtime waiting this out :D
