PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!

Published

I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

Risky - I noticed that too. Probably most males don't feel like making an account. Lol She plans on doing the bridge but she knows of a place that said they would hire her when she got out of LPN. She volunteered there for awhile.

If you don't mind, How are you doing the math? It seems like you're just finding the average of GPA and and teas? But I think it's (GPA)(25)(.5)+ (teas x .45) + 5. That way GPA ends up in a percent like 4.0 x 25 = 100% x .5 = 50%. Then 100 on a teas x .45 gives 45 % plus 5 makes 100.

I thought it was GPA X 45% + TEAS X 50% + 5% for residency. So my score for instance, is 4.0 (100) x 45% = 45 + 50% of TEAS which was 82 = 41 + 5 for residency so grand total is 91.

I'm running across issues when I try to calculate the 3.somethings. Like yours for instance - I was doing 100/3.8=26.31>>100-26.31=73.69x45%=33.16 then 86.7x50%=43.35 so 33.16+43.35+5=81.51

I'm doing something wrong

So that makes a total of 3 "Murses" in this group so far. There has to be more...

Think about 4.0 = 100 % of GPA portion. So if you have to multiplication by 25 to figure out your gpa percentage.

Hopefully tomorrow everybody, my mail does'nt run until at least 4:00 pm.

But it's only worth half or 45% of the total. So if you scored a 4.0 and a zero on teas and you don't live in Pasco Hernando you would have a 45% score or half depending on how much it's worth

Think about 4.0 = 100 % of GPA portion. So if you have to multiplication by 25 to figure out your gpa percentage.

Oooooohh.....this is exactly where I went wrong...like for yours - 3.8x25=95x45%=42.75 then 86.7x50%=43.35 so 42.75+43.35+5= 91.1???

Is that right?

How old are the murses?

Does anyone know what the average rank score is to get in?

TEAS is 50% so just divide by 2.

Ex. 100% / 2= 50%

GPA is x/4.0 multiplied by 45.

Ex. 4.0/4.0= 1*45= 45%

Residency is 5% so you add 5.

Total is 50 + 45 + 5 = 100.

So Risky has a ranking score of of 72.4 and Stephen W has a ranking score of 91.1.
