Pharmacology study tips for new nursing student

I start nursing school in Jan. Need helpful hints for doing well in Pharmacology. Any tips? Flashcards? I was told to get 2 books called Pharmacology made insanely easy and Lippincott's 2010 Nursing Drug Guide. Would love advice of what has worked for you. I am going back to school as an older student.

I start pharm in less than 2 weeks and I am freaked out. I just looked at the syllabus and there are over 200 assigned pages for the first week alone and half of it is Math! I always got A in whatever I did but I am so worried that I am expected to show up knowing this stuff without any instruction. I am totally goign to do the reading and the assigned problems before I get to lecture but I dont know how I will keep up with this pace and an exam every week.

Im so scared. Every science class I have had so far I get the very hard Professor and the only way I could pull A's is to read each chapter 4 times. They would pull the worst off the wall questions on exams and only a handfull of students got A in my classes. If Nursing school is going to be like my other science classes Im worried there wont be enough time to cover the material and study it for the exam.

what works for me is when I study I lecture my self with loud voice , while I do that I record it on my MP3 then while I drive I listen it again .... then it become second nature

I think we are overwhelming for new thing , the thing that we don't understand and know ... the secreat is take quality time understnd the material

Thanks for the tips! :)
