Hi,
I am in a 12 month PN program and the MATH for Pharm. is killing me! I have been out of HS for over 12 years and I am having trouble because of the metric system and coverting in infusion rates, dosage calculations........remembering flow rates.....ratio /proportion
I have been going to the tutoring that they offer but I am still worried. Finals are next week and then IF I pass I go on to clinicals.
Any advice on the MAth or any websites that helped anyone out that you would care to share?

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND THEN PRACTICE SOME MORE!!! Yes it is in all caps. If you do take my advice, I will guarantee that you will pass.
When did you start math in the program? We started right in the beginning.
Keep us posted.

Dosage Calculations Made Incredibly Easy by Springhouse.
I am horrible at Math, and this book worked like a charm for me. I can now do (most) calculations without hesitation or difficulty.
Good luck! And yes, it does take practice, practice, practice!

Our pharm calc book had a practice CD in it and I would practice on that and I would just do a search online for practice pharmacology calculations questions.
Good luck on your finals
