Hello,
I was wondering if anyone attending MCC and majoring in nursing has taken Pharmacology (HHSC-1800-V1250) here at MCC. Is the class hard or too vague? I would like to take it, however, it is too much material and the book doesn't really specify all the drugs need to know.
Thank you,
Jasmine

If you are going for nursing, I can imagine that the program will teach you all you need to know about pharmacology, especially related to nurses. This class is probably not worth your time.
Thanks toxicshock for your reply.
Are you currently in the nursing program at MCC or?

I am in my second year of MCC's nursing program and have not taken a seperate pharmacology course. Is there one offered at Macomb? The instructors add meds into the courses where they are relevant, which makes it somewhat easier to learn them. I have heard pharm classes are tough, I am glad I don't have to take one!

Pff, I wish I'm applying for Fall of this year; I'm just basing my info on what I've heard from others :)

I am in the class right now at Baker because they make you take it as a pre-req. Honestly I am not sure if I would have taken it if it wasn't required. The class is very vague, my teacher said she is not going to go into great depth about each drug because by the time we hit clinicals there are going to be so many new drugs out there so we only go over the really important ones.

I attend SC4 and just applied for the fall 09 nursing program. I'm pretty sure that we are required to take a pharm class once we start the program, and I have heard that it is one of our toughest classes that we will need to take.
