I am taking Pharmacology right now and I am having a problem understanding Cholinergic and Adrenergic Agonists and Antagonists. I need help? Books, webistes, etc...?

is there a textbook that is assigned for your pharmacology course?

ours was Abrams, Anne. Clinical Drug Therapy: Rationales For Nursing Practice

I'm still confused on the cholenergic and adrenergic stuff (started pharm this week), but I do have a trick regarding agonist and antagonist...the antagonist antagonizes (bothers, bugs....like your little brother does to you) the drugs by blocking their receptor sites...the agonist is the other one...the one that binds to receptor sites

Adrenergic drugs act on the sympathetic nervous system (aka - fight or flight)

Cholinergic drugs act on the parasympathetic nervous system (aka - rest and digest)

Agonists speed up processes (ex: epinephrine and heart rate)

Antagonists slow down or block processes (narcan and opiate receptors)
