U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Peace Everyone! I am currently a Pre-Nursing student at Delaware County Community College. I take my TEAS test July 30. I've been studying on and off since last month. I am trying not to be nervous about it. I'm beyond determined to get in! Is there anyone else who has taken the TEAS yet? what scores are considered good enough to get in?? My GPA is fine, and I will be complete all my pre reqs by next Spring. What scores would be considered TEAS test "Waiting List" scores?

For those on here that's already went through the program or is currently in- what elective did/are you taking? Pharmacology or clinical enhancement skills? Pros or cons to either?

I'm just planning ahead .. Thanks!

I'm taking both pharmacology and the clinical enhancement course this summer. Clinical enhancement course is only offered summer 1 and pharmacology is offered both summer 1 in class and online and summer 2 online. If you have to pick one I would definitely say pharmacology is the most important for the boards and for the second half of the program. I took the pn nclex and it was loaded with pharm questions.

Why are you taking both? Isn't only one required?

Thank you!!

No you only need to take one course. I just wanted to take both courses since pharmacology would help for the second year/boards and the clinical enhancement course seems interesting. But if you choose to do rn to bsn program, they require pharmacology as do most bsn programs and you could use the clinical enhancement course to fulfill an elective.

Understood, thank you!!!

Has anyone taken nutrition yet? I was going to take or online this summer. Any insight on level

Of work or anything? Thanks!

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone is planning on doing the online CPR class thru aha and then doing the skills test at dccc. I am trying to sign up but there are two different online CPR classes for healthcare professionals. One is simply BLS and the other is something like "heart saver BLS" Or something like that I can't remember the exact name at the moment. Does anyone know which we are supposed to take to get certified, or if it matters?? I emailed the nursing coordinator about this but haven't heard back yet. I'll let you all know when I get a response from her, but I figured one of you might be able to help me out in the meantime.

Thanks!!

I'm taking nutrition right now. It's a lot of work and the tests are kindof obnoxious (actually...really obnoxious). Personally, I think it's a pointless class but, we have to take it regardless. Just be prepared for a lot of papers and obnoxiously hard exams.

Thank you for the info. Would you say it's more science/chem based or more standard/general info? The summer class is accelerated so I am really debating what to do..
