Perimeter College at Georgia State University - ASN Spring 2025

Published

Hello!

I haven't seen a discussion made for the Spring semester so I've decided to start one. Wishing us all the best on our acceptance!

I recently just got the email that I.ve met minimum requirements. Anyone have any idea on how long the acceptance process takes? I'm super anxious and excited to get started!

Also looking to get a head start on studying I have a few materials if anyone wants to become study buddies!

I think they keep a waiting list just for this semester, for example: the email I received asks me to confirm and accept the spot, if I don't, they will offer to students that were waitlisted. But I don't think they will keep the waiting list for following semesters (I think that's what they mean by not keeping one) does that make sense? We have until October 7th to respond.

OK, understandable thanks LOL and CONGRATS!!

Congrats to those who were accepted for Spring 2025, and for those who weren't, don't give up! There are many other great schools out there!

Does anyone have an idea of what the schedule looks like? The orientation is in December, and I'm trying to plan ahead for work/study.

Yes, I want to elaborate on this as well. If you were waitlisted, do not give up hope. Not everyone who was accepted will end up going. I know at least one school that hasn't given their acceptances yet, and I'm sure there are others. I would say most people would make their decisions by November. Just because they accept by October 7, doesnt mean they can't change their mind!

I don't know the schedule for sure, but I have a friend in her 1st semester and she said they start clinicals at the end of October. Classes started August 26, so about 2 months before clinicals start. Also, I would just suggest that everyone get good at dosaging conversions. When my husband was in nursing school I remember that being a big thing he talked about and my friend in the program now also mentioned it. You have 3 attempts to pass on every dosage quiz and if you can't do it on the 3rd try, you get removed from the program.

Just for next semester reference, I got accepted into the program and here are my stats:

4.0 GPA (science and overall)

82 on the TEAS exam

I am taking micro and A&P this fall so I was pending this 2 science prerequisites when I applied. I am also pending American history, politics and the arts elective, but I haven't even started them yet.

Does anybody want to talk about the steps after acceptance? I kinda would like some support. (Does the website have a chat or something that we can privately share our phone numbers and talk to each other?)

Hey, I did a CLEP for american government. Look into that if you'd like because I did it for free through modern states, studied for like a week, passed, and was awarded the credit by GSU.

I made a fb group for 2025 nursing so we can connect there if you want!

If the link doesn't work it's called "GSU Perimeter Spring 2025 Nursing Students"

You guys, I was waitlisted and bummed out but I just got an email right now WITH MY ACCEPTANCE! I will be part of the 25' Spring! Just joined the Facebook group. I'm so excited to see you girls
